Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in the IT industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and developing long-term client relationships to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Strategy
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets and industry verticals.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
- Create and present compelling business proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Understand client needs and align IT solutions to address their business challenges.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Partnership Development
- Establish strategic partnerships with technology vendors, system integrators, and industry partners.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and collaboration frameworks.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Revenue & Performance
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
- Track and analyze sales metrics to optimize business development strategies.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project implementation.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the IT industry
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of IT services, software solutions, and emerging technologies
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM systems
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into business value
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and digital transformation.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise solutions, and emerging technology trends.
- Experience with proposal development and RFP/RFI responses.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Existing network of contacts within the IT industry.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and government sectors.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, AI/ML, or other specialized IT domains.
